ESPN releases bowl projections after Week 1

ESPN has released their projected bowl games after a crazy week in college football.

ESPN has released its projected bowl games after a crazy week in college football. Prior to Week 1, LSU was a team that was predicted to possibly wind up in the College Football Playoff, but after a loss to Florida State, their projection has changed according to ESPN.

Mark Schlabach has LSU playing TCU in the TaxAct Texas Bowl, and Kyle Bonagura has LSU playing Wisconsin in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. TCU entered this season after playing against Georgia for the national championship last season. In week one, they faced Deion Sanders and a rebuilt Colorado Buffaloes team. The Buffs entered the game as a 21-point underdog, but they came out on top in the end.

The Wisconsin Badgers played against Buffalo in Week 1 and after a slow first half, they pulled away to a 38-17 win in their first game under new head coach Luke Fickell. A lot of things will change between now and bowl season, but these would be two interesting opponents.
