ESPN Power Index favors the Texas Longhorns in all but one game on 2024 schedule.

Longhorns fans are hoping for a historic 2024 season that ends in a national title. A tough schedule could be cause for concern.

Playing as a member of the SEC for the first time, Texas faces top-ranked Georgia, rivals Oklahoma and Texas A&M and some tricky opponents like Florida and Arkansas. Plus, a Week 2 non-conference tilt against Michigan

But the ESPN Football Power Index favors Texas in all but one game, the October 19th clash with No. 1 Georgia. 

Digging deeper, the index lists Texas’ chances to go undefeated, go to the playoffs and win the national championship.
