The eyes of the college football world will be locked into next week’s massive Big Ten contest between Penn State and Ohio State. The matchup of top-five teams will carry massive Big Ten championship game implications and is already set for the national treatment from Fox as the Big Noon Kickoff game for the network. But the ESPN College GameDay bus will also be making its way to State College next week.
ESPN announced on Sunday morning that the popular traveling pregame show, College GameDay, will be returning to Happy Valley for the Penn State-Ohio State game.
Penn State has been involved in a game College GameDay was highlighting a total of 25 times prior to next week’s visit. This will mark the 10th time College GameDay has visited Penn State’s campus in the history of the show. Penn State is 10-15 all-time in games highlighted by College GameDay.
The Penn State-Ohio State game has been a popular pick for GameDay over the years. Penn State’s last GameDay game was last season’s game at Ohio State, a 20-12 loss to the Buckeyes. Penn State’s last win with GameDay visiting was the 2023 Rose Bowl against Utah. The last home win for Penn State with GameDay attending Penn State’s campus was the 2021 game against Auburn, a 28-20 victory over the SEC’s Tigers.
Penn State is 7-0 this season and 4-0 in Big Ten play. The Buckeyes will come in with a record of 6-1 and 3-1 in the Big Ten.
Ohio State opens as a slight road favorite according to the early-week betting odds.
Fox’s pregame show will also be in State College for the game and pregame coverage.
