It doesn’t look like the Buffalo Bills will be playing deep into January this season.
The Buffalo Bills lost their Week 12 game in overtime against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Bills had a late lead and lost it, falling by a final score of 37-34. That leaves western New York’s team with a 6-6 record.
Heading into the contest, some, including Pro Football Focus noted that Buffalo had nearly a 50/50 chance to make the postseason.
That’s now been cut in half.
According to ESPN’s analytics now following the loss to the Eagles, the Bills now have a 21 percent chance to make the playoffs this season.
Perhaps even worse than that, Buffalo can’t do a thing to improve that for two weeks. The Bills enter their bye in Week 13 so all the team can do is sit around and hope for the best.
And when Buffalo is back… it’s not going to be any easier.
Hopefully the rest will help because the Bills go on to visit the Kansas City Chiefs (8-3) in Week 14 following by a matchup with the Dallas Cowboys (8-3). Both are essentially must-win games at this point.
Good luck, Bills.
