Over the last two years, Bryce Young has been the most impactful player in college football. The former Heisman Trophy winner was the most productive member of the Crimson Tide’s offense in 2022 and carried them to an 11-win season.
A lot of the pre-draft buzz regarding Young has been about his height and weight concerns rather than what he has accomplished on the field. ESPN’s Ryan Clark, despite being a former LSU Tiger, adamantly defends Young and reminds people they need to check the film again.
Clark says, “If you’ve watched college football for the last two years, the dude is Houdini. If Young is two inches taller we are speaking of him like Joe Burrow, we’re speaking of him like Trevor Lawrence. Bryce Young has done nothing but be the best player in college football since taking his first snap.”

"Bryce Young has done nothing but been the best player in college football. … He's going to get picked apart and critiqued going through this process because of his size, but when you cut the film on there is no dude in this entire draft like him." —@Realrclark25 pic.twitter.com/QQZX1jFKdY
