Former Georgia Bulldogs star cornerback Eric Stokes is entering into his second season in the NFL. Stokes helped the Green Bay Packers have the top seed in the NFC last season.
During his rookie season, Stokes started 14 games and recorded 55 tackles, 14 pass deflections, and intercepted a pass.
Stokes is a part of a cornerback duo with 2020 Pro Bowler Jaire Alexander. Both players are former first round picks. Unfortunately, the duo did not play many games together in 2021 because Alexander was injured for much of the season and only played in four games.
Jaire Alexander recorded 41 pass deflections, four interceptions, and over 160 tackles over his first three seasons in the NFL. The pairing should be fun to watch and will help Green Bay have one of the top defenses in the NFL in 2022.
Hopefully both Alexander and Stokes can stay healthy throughout the 2022 NFL season. The 33rd Team considers the duo to be in the NFL’s top tier of cornerback pairings.
Former Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens standout Samari Rolle thinks Stokes is a key reason why the Packers have the top cornerback duo in the NFL.
I think Green Bay is the best overall with Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes only going into his second season and (Rasul) Douglas looked like a different player being coached by Jerry Gray.
Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes are hoping the Packers will be one of the NFC’s top pass defenses defenses in 2022. Green Bay has spent three consecutive first round picks on former Georgia Bulldog defenders. Georgia fans will have to keep an eye on the Packers’ defense this season.
