Epic’s massive fundraising effort within Fortnite is over, and the results are absolutely incredible.
On Monday, Epic announced that a total of $144 million was raised in Fortnite from March 20 through April 3, 2022. It’s not all that surprising since the battle royale phenomenon raised $36 million on the first day of the initiative, and it’s also a window into seeing how much money Fortnite generates on any given day.
“Our deepest thanks to everyone who joined us in supporting humanitarian relief efforts for people affected by the war in Ukraine,” Epic’s statement reads on Twitter.
Those funds will go towards several organizations providing humanitarian relief in Ukraine, including Direct Relief, World Central Kitchen, World Food Programme, UNICEF, and the UN Refugee Agency.

Many companies in the games industry are supporting Ukraine following Russia’s invasion. The Pokémon Company, Itch.io, Sony, Square Enix, Humble Bundle, and even John Romero all either made direct donations or organized fundraising efforts.
Meanwhile, companies such as Microsoft, Electronic Arts, CD Projekt Red, and GSC Game World will no longer sell hardware or software in Russia during the conflict.
Fortnite also recently released its wildly popular No Build mode, which removes building entirely in favor of a pure Apex Legend-like battle royale experience.
