Eminem, a Detroit native, begs Matthew Stafford to ‘just let us have this one’

Eminem shared a message for Matthew Stafford ahead of tonight’s Rams-Lions game, begging Stafford to let Detroit “have this one”

The Detroit Lions haven’t played a home postseason game in 30 years. They haven’t won a playoff game in 32 years. It’s been a long, long time since this franchise experienced any level of success outside of the regular season.

It’s why Detroit-native Eminem is begging Matthew Stafford to do him a favor and let the Lions win tonight at Ford Field.

Eminem is a big Lions fan and has supported them for decades, even making an appearance on “Hard Knocks” when Detroit was on it before the 2022 season. He badly wants to see his Lions win, but he knows in order for that to happen, they’ll have to beat Stafford.

“Stafford. What’d I say? You owe me this favor, bro,” he said in a message for the Rams QB. “I was there for you when you won it. I was there for you. I was right there. I rapped for you, Stafford! Bro, I rapped for you. Can you just let us have this one? Just this one.”

Spoiler alert: Stafford will most certainly not let Detroit “have this one.” He’s going to try to snatch the souls of everyone in the building tonight by beating the Lions on their own turf.
