Elite 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore decommits from LSU

The elite five-star wide receiver has decommitted from the SEC program.

Some significant SEC football recruiting news happened late Thursday night, as 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore officially announced that he would be decommitting from the LSU Tigers to re-open his recruitment.

Having previously been committed to LSU since August of 2023, Moore is considered as one of the nation’s elite prospects in the 2025 class, where he ranks as the No. 3 player nationally according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Moore, a five-star prospect, is also the No. 1 wide receiver in the country, as well as the top player from the state of Texas where he plays for one of the state’s top programs, Duncanville High School.

A player who has interest from almost every major collegiate program across the country, Moore was previously LSU’s second highest-rated commitment for the 2025 cycle, trailing only five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, and is a major loss in the Tigers recruiting class.

With programs such as Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas in the mix, among others, where will the talented wide receiver end up playing collegiately now?
