Elite 2024 TE Christian Bentancur lists Oregon as a finalist in recruitment

One of the top tight ends in the 2024 class has the Ducks among his finalists in the latest recruiting cut-down.

Tight End has been an important position for the Oregon Ducks over the past few years, and it looks like new TE coach Drew Mehringer is doing a great job of keeping the level of play up over the past 12 months. He’s also keeping the level of recruiting up as well.

In the 2023 class, the Ducks signed TE Kenyon Sadiq, the No. 1 ranked player in the state of Idaho, and they are also in good position to potentially flip TE Jamari Johnson from Louisville, while 5-star TE Duce Robinson, the No. 1 TE in the nation, is considering a visit to Eugene in the coming month.

Now, if you look ahead to 2024, the Ducks are once again in a great position to add to the position, landing in the top 3 for 4-star TE Christian Bentancur. As a 6-foot-5, 240-pound pass-catcher, Bentancur is ranked as the No. 4 TE in the 2024 class, and No. 102 overall player in the nation.

We will see in the coming months how the Ducks are able to close out his recruitment.
