Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is not letting any grass grow under his feet during his retirement.
The Giants’ all-time leader in almost every major passing category recently appeared on ESPN’s KJM show with Keyshawn, JWill & Max to discuss expectations for quarterback Daniel Jones in his second year in Jason Garrett’s offense.
Manning also discussed Saquon Barkley’s injury status and being a part of the Monday Night Football crew along with brother Peyton, albeit from his living room.
Oh, and Eli had a few things (all positive) about Tom Brady, who is entering his 22nd season in the NFL
“I think he’ll be able to take that step forward,” Manning said, in part. “I’ve seen firsthand just how hard Daniel works. I know how important it is for him to be a successful player. I know he knows this is a big year for him.
“I think he has the work ethic, the skill set to make [big] plays. He’s made some mistakes but he’s going to learn from those, and I think he can go out there and have a big year.”
Eli also spoke about Verizon’s newest venture with the NFL — the 5G “Multi View” — which brings seven live feeds of a game from different angles. MetLife is one of the seven stadiums piloting the initiative.
