Eli Apple silent after Stefon Diggs takes one more shot

Looks like that’s the end of it:

After an outlash of negative sentiment being thrown his way, Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple has evidently decided to turn the social media off.

After the Bengals defeated the Buffalo Bills in the AFC divisional round, Apple went online and took some shots at the Bills. Specifically he targeted receiver Stefon Diggs and quarterback Josh Allen.

Apple and Diggs went on to exchange some messages. Then it died down and the Bills receiver took one more earlier this week.

After the Bengals lost their chance at a Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chefs, Diggs went to his account on Twitter once more. The aim of his messages was pretty clear to see.

Between laughing videos:

And a few messages:

A few days removed, Apple has yet to answer. Maybe he learned his lesson? Maybe he just doesn’t want more backlash? It wasn’t just Diggs going after him, others around the NFL did.

It remains to be seen if these two have another chapter in their saga.

The Bills and Bengals are slated to faceoff again in 2023. However, Apple only signed a one-year contract with the team last offseason and is slated to become a free agent.
