E.J. Liddell makes first-team All-Big Ten

Congrats to E.J. Liddell! #GoBucks

Ohio State forward E.J. Liddell was named to the first-team All-Big Ten team on Tuesday when the conference announced its postseason awards. Liddell was named by both the media and the coaches.

Making the team along with Liddell were Kofi Cockburn of Illinois, Iowa’s Keegan Murray, Jaden Ivey of Purdue, and Wisconsin’s Johnny Davis.

Liddell has shown even more improvement during his junior year after already breaking out during his sophomore campaign. Liddell has upped nearly all of his per game averages with 19.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks. He was also named to the Big Ten All-Defensive team along with Illinois’ Trent Frazier, Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis, Rutgers’ Caleb McConnell and Purdue’s Eric Hunter Jr.

Liddell is expected to enter the NBA draft after this season where he is projected to go in the first round. Until then though, he still has a postseason to try and get Ohio State through.
