Defensive Tackle Perrion Winfrey
Checking in at No. 20 on the list is defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey. He is poised for a big season and he could very well be rewarded with a day one selection in the NFL draft.
The Sooners have improved on the interior line, and Winfrey is a big reason why. The 297-pound defensive tackle had 5.5 tackles for loss. Winfrey is a junior college transfer, and a second season in Oklahoma’s defense should produce similar results.
In the Sporting News mock draft, Winfrey is projected as a top 20 selection landing in the Big Apple.
The Jets once again will double up on the first round and Saleh wouldn’t mind having this quick, backfield-disrupting force who has some DeForest Bucker and Javon Kinlaw in him.
