The Cincinnati Bengals didn’t face many injury questions going into the Week 8 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
But one they did face was huge — and a new Tee Higgins problem came out of nowhere.
Starting left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. was the focal point of the injury report all week. Go figure, given the offensive line had struggled in recent weeks in front of Joe Burrow, and the team simply doesn’t have great depth at either tackle spot right now.
With final injury reports out, here’s a look at where things stand before Week 8 kickoff.
Bengals injury report
WR Tee Higgins: Questionable
Eagles injury report
G Mekhi Becton: Out
TE Dallas Goedert: Out
DL Byron Young: Out
Orlando Brown Jr. injury update
Brown suffered a “knee sprain,” according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, when he left and didn’t return during the win over Cleveland last week. Cody Ford will take the reps if he can’t play against the Eagles, while the team recently made a roster move to add depth to the practice squad, at least.
The fact Brown isn’t on the injury report at all, though, says it all.
Geno Stone injury update
Stone suffered the scary-looking injury last week that required a cast and cart to leave the field, yet gradually got better all week and isn’t on the injury report either.
Tee Higgins injury update
Higgins was fine all week — until he wasn’t. While it’s not totally clear when an injury occurred, Higgins went limited on Friday with a quad injury and, as a result, is a 50-50 shot to play against the Eagles.
