The Philadelphia Eagles have their new linebackers coaching, hiring Temple defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot to replace Nick Rallis

The Eagles have found their new linebackers coach, hiring Temple defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot for the position.

Eliot was named defensive coordinator for the Owls following previous stops at Kansas, Florida State, Miami, Colorado, and Kentucky, as well as learning on the job under Jimbo Fisher and Mark Stoops.

Eliot comes from the coaching tree focused on the principles of the 3-4 defense and simulated pressures.

The popular coach led defenses at both Colorado (2017-18) in the Pac-12 and Kentucky in the SEC (2013-16). And prior to that, Eliot coached defensive ends at Florida State (2010-12) in the ACC.
