Eagles signing ex-Titans LB Rashaan Evans to practice squad

Former Titans LB Rashaan Evans is reportedly signing to the Eagles’ practice squad.

After going through the entire offseason without signing with a team, former Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons linebacker Rashaan Evans has found a new home.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Evans is signing to the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad.

A former first-round pick of the Titans in 2018, Evans spent four seasons in Tennessee and developed into a starter during his time there. However, he never panned out the way the Titans hoped and was allowed to walk in 2022.

Evans then latched on with former Titans offensive coordinator and current Falcons head coach, Arthur Smith. The Alabama product tallied a career-high 159 tackles in his lone season in Atlanta, tied for seventh-most in the NFL.

Evans joins the Eagles in the wake of their starting linebacker Nakobe Dean suffering a foot injury that will sideline him for about a month, which gives Evans a path to some snaps in Philly’s talented defense. He’ll reunite with former Titans teammates A.J. Brown and Zach Cunningham, as well.
