The Philadelphia Eagles have looking for a complementary piece to pair with Miles Sanders and Tim McManus of ESPN.com is reporting that they’ve found their targets.
As we’ve previously reported, the Eagles will likely choose between free-agent running backs Devonta Freeman, LeSean McCoy, and Carlos Hyde.
The Eagles have already reached out and expressed interest in Freeman, according to a league source. He has fans in the Eagles’ building, including running backs coach Duce Staley, whose relationship with Freeman dates to Freeman’s playing days at Florida State.
The Eagles’ current running back room includes Sanders, Boston Scott, Corey Clement, Elijah Holyfield, and undrafted rookies Adrian Killins Jr. and Michael Warren.
Freeman reportedly has a bigger offer on the table from the Seahawks, while McCoy has expressed interest in ending his NFL career with the Eagles.
