Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni displayed a nice show of sportsmanship after his team beat the Buffalo Bills in Week 12.
The Eagles’ win over the Bills was a wild one. Philadelphia (10-1) trailed Buffalo (6-6) in overtime. But the Bills only kicked a field goal.
Because of that, the Eagles had an opportunity to go down and try and score for themselves. They did so, notching a game-ending touchdown for a 37-34 final.
Celebrations ensued for the home team and the visitors left Lincoln Financial Field with their heads hanging.
Traditionally, teams will meet on the field after the final whistle for a handshake. The noted ones come between the starting quarterbacks and head coaches. However, evidently Sirianni could not find Bills head coach Sean McDermott at that time.
But Sirianni made sure to do so before McDermott & Co. left the building. Sirianni went over and found McDermott in Buffalo’s locker room to shake his hand, according to NBC Sports Philadelphia.
