The fallout from the Philadelphia Eagles selecting a quarterback with pick No. 53 continued on Tuesday as GM Howie Roseman did his best to explain the Jalen Hurts pick.
Roseman has been making the rounds on sports radio after he bypassed trading up for CeeDee Lamb at No. 16, claiming that he didn’t want to part with the second-round pick. Rather than address a serious need, Roseman used the pick on former Alabama and Oklahoma star quarterback Jalen Hurts.
While a guest on 94WIP, Roseman labeled the selection of Hurts “uncomfortable”, while attempting to justify the process.

Roseman insinuated what media pundits and analysts have been saying for three days now. The Eagles, regardless of what they say, are leery of Carson Wentz’s penchant for getting hurt and used tier-1 compensation to snag either the top-back up for the next decade or Wentz’s eventual replacement in two-years.
