Eagles GM expects WR corps to be much improved with return of Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson

Eagles feel they’ll improve greatly at wide receiver with the return of Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson

The Philadelphia Eagles added a ton of speed to the lineup via the NFL Draft but if you ask GM Howie Roseman, the group will only truly improve with the return of two integral players.

While speaking to the media following the Eagles 10-man draft haul, Roseman made it clear that the true measure of the Eagles wide receiving corps will be dictated by the healthy return of Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson.

Despite the constant rumors of trades or outright release, Roseman has held in his belief that both players would be back with the Eagles and the franchise would be better for it.

Roseman has defended Jeffery when presented with questions about his star wide receiver who’ll be out indefinitely with a foot injury.

Last season Jeffery finished the year with 43 catches for 490 yards and four touchdowns, his lowest totals since joining the Eagles. There had been some talk of a release or trade, but the Eagles appear set to run it back with their big-two and some speedy additions.
