Eagles first NFC East team eliminated from playoff contention with 37-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys

The Philadelphia Eagles have been eliminated from playoff contention after a disappointing 37-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.

The Eagles stretch of playoff berths will end at three after Philadelphia was officially eliminated from contention following their 37-17 Week 16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles loss is even more disappointing with the news that the Carolina Panthers had defeated the Washington Football Team, 20-13 on the road.

Jalen Hurts was 21 of 38, for 342-yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions, while his counterpart, Andy Dalton was outstanding on the day, going 22 of 30, for 377-yards, 3 touchdowns with 1 interception.

Hurts led the Eagles in rushing as well, with 9-carries for 69-yards.

Philadelphia was outscored 34-3 after jumping out to a 17-3 lead, but the team lost some energy after defensive tackle Fletcher Cox exited the game with a stinger.

The Eagles will now look towards the 2021 NFL Draft, where the team could have a top-5 draft pick.
