Eagles elevate RB Elijah Holyfield to the active roster for game vs. the Browns

Eagles elevated running back Elijah Holyfield from the practice squad

With the Philadelphia Eagles needing depth at running back, a familiar name has been elevated to the practice squad.

The Eagles had a need at running back with Corey Clement going on the Reserve/COVID-19 list this week and Elijah Holyfield was elevated to the active roster.

The Eagles have also elevated DT T.Y. McGill, DE Joe Ostman, and TE Caleb Wilson from the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements.

Holyfield spent the 2019 season on the Panthers’ practice squad and was signed to the Eagles’ active roster ahead of the Wild Card matchup with the Seahawks, but was inactive for the game.

During the 2020 training camp, Holyfield was cut and signed to the Eagles practice squad. Sunday he’ll make his NFL debut.
