Eagles claim veteran edge rusher off waivers from Panthers

The Philadelphia Eagles are claiming veteran edge rusher Charles Harris off waivers from the Carolina Panthers

Zach Berman reports that the Eagles added more depth to the edge rusher position after Brandon Graham’s injury, claiming veteran pass rusher Charles Harris.

The Panthers waived Harris on Monday, Darin Gantt of the team’s official site reported.

The 29-year-old was picked up by Carolina ahead of a Week 2 loss to the Chargers.

Harris recorded 21 total tackles, including a team-leading 3.0 sacks, in nine games before being waived Monday. The Missouri product could add more depth to a unit with Graham out for the year and Bryce Huff on injured reserve.
