PHILADELPHIA–The city of Philadelphia is one of the more passionate cities in the world when it comes to sports. The city loves to show up for their teams and give their support to all of their athletes who lay it on the line every game.
Eagles center Jason Kelce is a guy who has had the support of the fan base since he arrived. His passion for football and his understanding of Philadelphia fans is unrivaled in the city so when he speaks up, others listen.
Kelce was on hand on Monday as the 76ers got set to host the Denver Nuggets as he will sing the national anthem before the game. He was asked about James Harden and how far the Sixers can go and he had his thoughts on the situation.
“Obviously, Harden is a tremendous upgrade,” said Kelce. “Another guard enables them to expand the court, utilize (Joel) Embiid down low, he can shoot as good as anybody, but it’s clearly changed their offense and made them more dynamic. I’m excited to watch Sixers basketball right now. I think the whole city is and I look forward to them continuing to get better.”
Harden and the Sixers still have a long ways to go, but the team has the potential to go deep into the playoffs the same way Kelce and the Eagles were able to do so.
