Duke’s latest seeding and region in Andy Katz’s bracket projections

Duke has a 19-3 record in its last 22 games, but is their run enough to move them into one of the top two seeds? See what college basketball reporter Andy Katz thinks here.

Duke only has a handful of games left to altar its seeding for the upcoming NCAA Tournament, with one regular-season game against North Carolina and the conference tournament left to play.

With 19 wins in their last 22 games, the Blue Devils have made a furious bid for one of the top two seeds over the past four months. Has it been enough, however?

College basketball reporter Andy Katz revealed his latest bracket projection on Tuesday, and he doesn’t think it’s been enough quite yet. He slotted Duke in as the No. 3 seed in the South region with a first-round battle against Charleston, a common opponent for the Blue Devils through projection season.

Houston sat atop the region in Katz’s projections with Marquette coming in as the second team in the region. Purdue, Connecticut, and Tennessee owned the other three No. 1 spots.

The Tar Heels, who currently cling to a half-game lead over the Blue Devils in the ACC, finished as Katz’s No. 2 seed in the East.
