Duke’s only loss was a 69-64 decision against Kansas in the Champions Classic Nov. 15. Coach Jon Scheyer has a talented group of young players who will develop and get better as they more games — especially games away from Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The Beavers enter off a bad 79-66 loss to Portland State Saturday. The rest of their schedule has not been much better. A 73-70 win over Tulsa to open the season was solid, but easy games against Florida A&M and Bushnell followed. This means the Beavers have not had true tests yet and the Blue Devils are heavily favored to give Oregon State its second loss of the young season.

Duke has been winning games, but not covering the spread, going just 3-2 ATS. One of those covers was in its 5-point loss to the defending champion Kansas as a 6-point underdog. The Blue Devils failed to cover the 24.5-point in a 74-57 win over Bellarmine Monday.
Oregon State is in no danger of stealing this game from Duke, but playing basically a home game, the Beavers will at least keep it close and get a backdoor cover.

As Duke continues to get its young players adjusted on offense, it will rely on the defense to hold serve. This could fail if Duke pushes the pace, but against an out-talented Beavers, the Blue Devils will be happy getting the win and moving on to tomorrow. UNDER 138.5 (-110) is my favorite play.
