Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning appears to be doing his thing at the linebacker position when it comes to recruiting. Earlier in this 2024 cycle, the Ducks picked up commitments from both 4-star Kamar Mothudi and 4-star Dylan Williams, both of whom are among the top 20 linebackers in the nation.
Now the Ducks are picking up some significant predictions to land 4-star LB Brayden Platt, the No. 8 LB in the 2024 class, and the No. 78 overall player.
On Wednesday afternoon, both Steve Wilftong and Brandon Huffman — two of the top analysts at 247Sports — logged predictions for Platt to announce his commitment to the Oregon Ducks on September 7th.
At the moment, the Ducks have the No. 12 class in the 2024 cycle. The addition of Platt would be big when it comes to Lanning trying to get back into the top 10 for his second straight class in Eugene.
