Ross, 28, joined the Jags on Dec. 8 after he was claimed off waivers. He went on to play in two games for the team and accumulated two assisted tackles and a solo tackle, which was a tackle for loss. Prior, he played with the Las Vegas Raiders (2020) and Dallas Cowboys (2017-19). After spending time in the Canadian Football League, he ended up going to the Houston Texans as an undrafted player in 2017. He spent a brief stint on their practice squad, as well as those of the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs.
If signed by the Jags, he will enter his second stint with the team with 27 combined tackles and two sacks. With all the additions made to the defensive line, he’d be a solid player to add for preseason reps, and if he can make the most of them, he could earn a spot on the practice squad.
