Penn State’s expected starting quarterback will be heading to what is viewed as the nation’s top football camp later this month. Drew Allar, a sophomore from Ohio, was revealed to be one of the college counselors for this year’s Manning Passing Academy in Louisiana.
The Manning Passing Academy is recognized as one of the top football camps for quarterbacks as it is directed by the Manning family, including Penn State Chad Powers, otherwise known as Eli Manning. Archie Manning, Peyton Manning, and Cooper Manning also are involved.
Allar is the latest Penn State quarterback to work at the football camp. Sean Clifford and former Penn State quarterback Will Levis worked last year’s camp. Many of the nation’s top college quarterbacks regularly work at the camp as well, and more players attending this year’s camp will be announced leading up to the start of the camp later this month.
This will be a great opportunity for Allar to rub elbows with not only the top quarterbacks in the nation, but also pick up some pointers from the Mannings. Allar will also get to compete in a skills competition with his college peers.
