Drake said this hilarious tweet inspired him to use Giannis Antetokoumpo’s name in a song for Certified Lover Boy

Finally, the Antetokounmpo bar.

Drake name-dropped a ton of professional athletes and sports references in his new album, Certified Lover Boy. There were plenty to choose from.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was one of them. And so many of us were waiting for him to get name-dropped in a Drake song.

I mean, it seems like a rite of passage for NBA champions. He’s mentioned LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant in songs. The man has even had Kawhi Leonard appear in a music video at this point. Antetokounmpo needed some love, man.

He finally got it on CLB. Drake finally used his name in a bar. But the reason he did it wasn’t because of his title, apparently.

Instead, it was the challenge from a tweet. Twitter user Graydon Gordian knew what was good. After the Bucks won the title, he said Drake was already in the studio working on his Antetokounmpo bar.

Challenge accepted from The Boy, apparently. SPN posted this tweet on Instagram and Drake commented saying he only dropped the bar because of this tweet.

We have Gordian to thank for the Antetokounmpo bar.

Hilarious. It wasn’t the most impressive bar — keeping it a buck like Antetokounmpo wasn’t complex at all. But it’ll do for now.

Certainly, with Giannis being an NBA champion, there are plenty more coming.
