The 2024 college football season is almost here, which means it is time to get ready to root for your Kentucky Wildcats as they look to challenge for the College Football Playoffs with the newly expanded field. Two new members are joining this season, but the Wildcats will only see one of them this year.
Kentucky opens the season against Southern Miss before getting into the think of their SEC schedule with matchups against the South Carolina Gamecocks and Georgia Bulldogs in Week 2 and Week 3. The Wildcats will enjoy an open week in the first week of October after they travel to Oxford to face off with the Ole Miss Rebels.
The annual matchup with the Florida Gators is scheduled for Oct. 19, just a week before the final SEC home game of the year against the Auburn Tigers. The remainder of the calendar features road trips to Knoxville to play the Tennessee Vols and Austin to play the Texas Longhorns. The season comes to a close with the annual Governor’s Cup matchup with the Louisville Cardinals.
