The Philadelphia Eagles received some really good news on Friday when Doug Pederson announced that Jordan Howard was returning to the lineup after a five-game absence.
Howard was cleared for contact and will be eased back into the lineup.
Howard was the Eagles’ leading rusher with 119 carries for 525 yards and six touchdowns before suffering his injury.
Pederson provided an update on Lane Johnson and Zach Ertz, stating that both players are progressing well.
Zach Ertz is dealing with both a fractured rib and a back injury. He'll watch practice today.
(I'd be surprised if Ertz played. Dealing with a tough injury. Eagles added Richard Rodgers as insurance.)

Both players are unlikely to play on Sunday and it’ll serve the Eagles well to rest both Ertz and Johnson, allowing them more time to get healthy in advance of the Wild Card round next weekend.
