Doug Pederson is out as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, but don’t expect the popular coach to be unemployed long.
Tom Pelissero and Jeff McLane are reporting that Pederson could land on his feet as head coach of the New York Jets, where friend and comrade, Joe Douglas is the general manager.
Doug Pederson could have options elsewhere. New York Jets with Joe Douglas as GM is one. He has some connections to the Texans. Six other vacancies out there.

Douglas was the Eagles’ VP of player personnel for Pederson’s first three years with the Eagles, making Pederson an obvious fit in New York.
Pederson had been named one of Douglas’s top candidates if available, according to an SNY report.
That can now come to fruition after a shocking Monday.
