Door still open for Ryan Jensen to return Monday night vs. Cowboys

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could still get their Pro Bowl center back in time for Monday night’s wild-card game

So, you’re saying there’s a chance.

As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prepare for Monday night’s wild-card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys, the door remains open for the return of one of their most important players.

Pro Bowl center Ryan Jensen suffered a knee injury on the second day of training camp back in July, and missed the entire regular season on injured reserve.

But he returned to practice two weeks ago, and still has until January 18th to be added back to the active roster.

When asked about the potential for Jensen to be activated in time for Monday night’s game, Bucs head coach Todd Bowles remained non-committal, but also wouldn’t rule Jensen out.

“It’s still too early,” Bowles said following Saturday’s practice. “We’ll make those decisions as we go, probably on Monday.”

So, while it still seems unlikely that Jensen would be in the lineup Monday night, the fact that he hasn’t been ruled out yet still leaves that possibility open.
