Tank Dell didn’t take any chances.
Six days after the Houston Cougars beat Louisiana in the Independence Bowl, Dell reached out to the Houston Texans via direct message on Instagram with a simple plea.
“Don’t let me leave the city,” Dell wrote and punctuated with an emoji of hands forming a heart.
The 5-8 receiver with a 4.49 40-time has had a special place in his heart for the city of Houston since becoming a dominant part of the Cougars’ passing game. In 2022, Dell caught 109 passes for 1,398 yards and 17 touchdowns through 13 games.
The Texans didn’t let Dell leave the city. His first job is on Kirby Drive.
