Donovan Mitchell suggsted as ‘dream’ offseason trade target for Spurs

Would the San Antonio Spurs want to trade for Donovan Mitchell this summer?

The San Antonio Spurs could look to add some serious star power this summer next to Victor Wembanyama. If they want to help him succeed, bringing in extra talent should be a top priority, and according to Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report, Donovan Mitchell should be considered a “dream” offseason target for San Antonio.

Bailey also mentioned Trae Young as a “realistic” target, so he compared the two. “He’s not the creator or distributor Young is, but Mitchell is a more consistent shooter and certainly has more upside as a defender,” Bailey wrote, “And who knows? Perhaps playing alongside Wembanyama would foster the development of Mitchell’s point guard skills.”

The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to have some big decisions to make this summer, and Mitchell’s future with the team is in question. If the Spurs could snag him, it would completely change the course of their franchise.

The question is, would Mitchell even want to be in San Antonio?
