Donovan Mitchell reacts to James Wiseman’s Christmas Day performance

Wiseman proved to be one of a few bright spots in the Warriors’ blowout loss to the Bucks.

On Friday, No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman put forth another strong performance as the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks in the second game on Christmas Day.

Wiseman produced 18 points, eight rebounds and three blocks in a 138-99 loss as the Warriors fall to 0-2 to start the season. His performance was one of a few bright spots as the Warriors trailed for much of the contest, falling behind by as many as 43 points.

The 19-year-old finished as the Warriors’ second-highest scorer, just behind Stephen Curry with 19 points. Wiseman shot 5-of-11 from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range and showed off all the tools in his bag, from his ability to run the floor to his moves in the post.

The performance even caught the attention of Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell, who weighed in with his assessment on Twitter during the matchup.

Wiseman has gotten off to a great start with the Warriors this season, and has looked every bit the part of being the second overall pick.

Perhaps most impressive, Wiseman has shown little rust after missing the start of training camp and the preseason. His game figures to only improve the more he plays and gets acclimated to his new teammates on the court, something that might be scary for the rest of the league.

Golden State returns to action on Sunday vs. the Chicago Bulls.
