After firing defensive coordinator Josh Boyer at the end of the 2022 season, the Miami Dolphins interviewed four candidates for the role, including Sean Desai, Anthony Campanile, Kris Richard and Vic Fangio.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Dolphins and Fangio have agreed to terms to become Miami’s defensive coordinator. Pelissero noted that the deal is set to be for three years with a fourth-year team option.

Fangio, 64, is finishing up the season as a defensive consultant for the Philadelphia Eagles, who are set to play in the NFC Championship on Sunday.

It’s unclear whether or not any of the remaining positional coaches on the staff will be kept around.
