The injury focus for the Miami Dolphins is mostly centering around quarterback Tua Tagovailoa before they head to Buffalo to face the Bills in the wild-card round.
Running back Raheem Mostert is sharing that spotlight.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Mostert suffered a broken thumb in the Dolphins’ Week 18 playoff-clinching win over the New York Jets.
Mostert led the Dolphins in rushing this season. He had 891 yards (4.9 avg) and three touchdowns. Mostert added another 202 yards and two touchdowns on 31 receptions.
A follow-up report from the Miami Herald states that the Dolphins “aren’t counting on” Mostert to play in Buffalo.
If he can’t go, Miami will have to rely on Jeff Wilson Jr. and Salvon Ahmed against the Bills. Time will tell the full story.
On Wednesday, the Bills (13-3) and Dolphins (9-8) will be provide their first official weekly injury reports ahead of their postseason matchup. Bills Wire will provide that information as it is made available.
