The 6-foot-5, 304-pound Armstead spent his first nine years with the Saints, many protecting Drew Brees.
He was a third-round pick out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff in 2013. Armstead is a three-time Pro Bowler.
He will be expected to provide protection for Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins’ quarterbacks in Miami.
