Does a Jrue Holiday trade make sense for the Boston Celtics given the cost?

He’s only signed for one year before he can opt out of his deal though, so would moving on from matching salary like Malcolm Brogdon and Robert Williams be worth it?

The Milwaukee Bucks traded for star floor general Damian Lillard, sending veteran point guard Jrue Holiday to Portland. The Trail Blazers will likely flip Holiday for assets to join the three future firsts or swaps they acquired from Milwaukee.

Holiday is one of the best defensive guards in the league. He can shoot, pass and score and will bring a hefty return to Portland. He’s only signed for one year before he can opt out of his deal though, so would the Boston Celtics moving on from matching salary like Malcolm Brogdon and Robert Williams III be worth it?

CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning and John Zannis debate how Boston could get a deal done, especially if the Heat decide to pursue Holiday, on a new episode of the “Garden Report” podcast.
