CAMDEN, N.J.–The Philadelphia 76ers are in the middle of trying to figure everything out on the floor while also battling through injuries to James Harden as well as key rotational pieces like Furkan Korkmaz and Matisse Thybulle.
In the midst of having four days off between their last game and then Friday’s contest with the Milwaukee Bucks, coach Doc Rivers had an update on Harden as he works his way back from his foot injury. The Beard was back with the team, but he didn’t do much in terms of on-court work, but he has been involved with the team.
“He stood there and watched us practice,” said Rivers. “He’s a part of the group, though. It’s not like he’s off in space jam anywhere. He’s close.”
As far as Thybulle and Korkmaz are concerned, the coach added that neither guy practiced on Thursday which does not bode well for their playing status on Friday.
“No,” he said succinctly. “Neither.”

The Sixers will look to get back at it on Friday when they host Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks. The matchup gives Philadelphia a chance to build off their back-to-back wins.
