Perhaps the first half for the Los Angeles Lakers was too good for them to come out completely unscathed. After pushing a 67-51 lead in the first half of their Game 2 against the Houston Rockets, they lost one of their players for the rest of the game.
After playing only three minutes in the first half of Game 2, Dion Waiters was ruled out for the rest of the game with a pulled groin, according to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times. Waiters attempted only one shot and was scoreless during his short time on the floor on Sunday night.
The Lakers now look to close out the Rockets and even up their second-round series with Houston at 1-1. The Lakers got plenty of excellent contributions from their bench to supplement the play of their two stars, but they will need to bookend their strong start with an equally strong finish to get their desired result.
