Did Texas A&M rise in the newest US LBM Coaches Poll?

Here are the newest US LBM Coaches Poll rankings after another exciting week

Texas A&M (5-1, 3-0 SEC) enjoyed the week off amid the first of two bye weeks, as head coach Mike Elko and his team will now shift their focus to a Mississippi State team that went toe to toe with Georgia on the road this weekend.

Still positioned as the first-place team in the SEC standings, the Texas Longhorns are right on the Aggie’s tail after destroying a beat-up Oklahoma team 34-3 in the annual Red River Rivalry.

Around the rest of the conference, Alabama and Tennessee are just a couple of plays away from losing their second consecutive game, while Ole Miss dropped to 1-2 in conference play after falling to LSU in OT. So far this season, the Longhorns have looked like the top team in the conference, but the schedule has been less than impressive. However, that changes over the next two weeks.

Set to host Georgia in Austin in Week 8, the Longhorns will travel to Tennessee to face red-hot Vanderbilt and quarterback Diego Pavia. The Commodores recently defeated Kentucky on the road to reach 4-2 and 2-1 in SEC play.

With all the excitement in Week 7, here is the latest US LBM Top 25 Coaches Poll:
