Did Jayson Tatum have a good game in the Boston Celtics win over the Detroit Pistons?

His leadership helped. His frequent missed shots, less so.

The Detroit Pistons tried to prevent a record-equalling 28th straight loss, extended the league-leading Boston Celtics to overtime on Thursday night at TD Garden. Despite a formidable effort on the part of the Pistons in their historic defeat, the Celtics ultimately claimed a 128-122 victory in the extra period.

Star Boston forward Jayson Tatum played a role in the win despite a very inefficient shooting night, notching up 31 points and 10 assists, aiding Boston in achieving their fourth consecutive win and their ninth in their last 10 games played.

CLNS Media reporters Bobby Manning and Josue Pavon took a deep dive into a discussion about Tatum’s performance after the nerve-wracking victory, debating whether the St. Louis native truly had a good game given his especially rough night from pretty much everywhere on the floor.
