Did Donna Kelce’s Facebook comment reveal a Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl rematch in Week 2?

Travis and Jason’s mom says the two will meet in Week 2 at Arrowhead Stadium.

We know the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Philadelphia Eagles in a regular season rematch of their Super Bowl 57 barnburner in 2023. We just don’t know when.

But Donna Kelce might.

The mother of Chiefs’ All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce and Eagles’ All-Pro center Jason could have some inside information ahead of the NFL’s hyped-up schedule reveal on May 11. She took to Facebook May 5 to talk about a confirmed game in Germany where the Chiefs will be the designated home team. But after rolling with a previous report that game would take place in Frankfurt against the Chicago Bears in November, she pivoted in the comments below. When a fan brought up the idea of a second Germany trip this fall, Kelce revealed the “Chiefs play Eagles Week 2 in Arrowhead.”

That’s a marquee game for the league — one it would likely reveal on television in the lead-up to Thursday night’s overall reveal. But Kelce dropped it like it was common knowledge in response to a comment involving a potential Eagles-New England Patriots showdown in Munich.

Will that be the case? Who knows! The only certainty we have is that these teams will face off in 2023’s regular season in Missouri. It’ll probably be a prime time game. But if anyone is going to cast some light on further details, the mother with a star player on each roster isn’t a bad place to start.
