The Detroit Lions ran all over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night to win the NFC North and clinch a first-round bye, crushing their division rivals, 31-9, in the final game of the regular season. Detroit will enjoy its week off, while the Vikings will have to face the Los Angeles Rams on the road in the wild-card round.
After the game, Dan Campbell shared a message for Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell that was seen as a veiled shot at the Rams.
“I’ll see you in two weeks,” he said during their postgame handshake.

Either Campbell seriously doubts the Rams’ chances of beating the Vikings or he thinks really highly of Minnesota. It’s also possible that in that moment, he didn’t even know who the Vikings’ next opponent is.
Regardless, it was a moment that caught the attention of a lot of people – particularly Rams fans who took exception to Campbell’s comment.

In order for the Vikings to head back to Detroit to play the Lions in two weeks, they would need to beat the Rams, and the Eagles and Buccaneers would also need to win their games. That would set up a Lions-Vikings and Eagles-Bucs divisional round.
The Vikings may be favored over the Rams but that’s not going to be an easy game for Minnesota to win. The Rams are more than capable of pulling off the upset like they did in Week 8, which would send them back to Detroit for the second round if the Eagles and Bucs also win.
