Texas A&M’s top-ranked commit in the 2025 recruiting class may have further solidified his commitment to the program through a social media post that had many of us wondering about the message being sent.
On Wednesday morning, 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet went to X to post a photo of him in a Texas A&M uniform during one of his previous recruiting photo shoots with a headline stating, “Embrace the G.R.I.N.D” while tagging Texas A&M’s football X account.
Why is this important? Heading into his senior season at Centennial HS in Corona, California, USC head coach Lincoln Riley has been on the prowl as the QB guru, like many programs, is attempting to flip Longstreet before early signing day in December.
While Riley has been very successful in flipping top-rated signal callers during his entire coaching career at both Oklahoma and USC, if Longstreet’s post means anything, Mike Elko and his Aggie staff should feel secure as of now.
Longstreet possesses one of the strongest arms in the 2025 class. During his memorable 2023 junior season at Centennial HS in Corona (CA), Longstreet accounted for 3,013 yards, 24 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions through the air, including 645 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
