After declining the opportunity on Wednesday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Devin White spoke with the media during Thursday’s open locker room period.
White was asked about recent criticism from Bucs legend and Hall of Famer Warren Sapp regarding his effort in last Thursday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
While he voiced his respect for Sapp and his accomplishments during his tenure in Tampa Bay, and made it clear that Sapp has the right to speak his mind, the three-time defensive team captain insinuated that Sapp might not have known what he was looking at on the play in question (via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times):

After a strong start that earned him NFC Defensive Player of the Month honors for September, White has struggled alongside the rest of his defense since. The team is riding a three-game losing streak heading into Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
